GRAMMY-nominated accordionist Andre Thierry is a global symbol of Accordion Soul Music, rooted in his French Kreole heritage, integrating funk and R&B elements.

Thierry was captivated by the accordion and vibrant sounds of Zydeco dance music as a child, which sparked his passion for French Kreole musical traditions. By age twelve, he had started his band, Zydeco Magic. Andre honed his skills by performing with renowned Zydeco musicians from Louisiana who traveled to the East Bay in Northern California.

His 2004 album, “Whole Lotta Somethin’,” is filled with danceable melodies driven by the accordion. Andre’s style is undoubtedly unconventional, creating magnetic sonic landscapes on his 2012 album, “Are You Ready To Learn?” In his 2015 album, “Bouncin’ with the Blues,” he pays tribute to the blues by playing and singing classics with his signature upbeat twist. Thierry’s career extends well beyond the United States; in 2016, he became the first Kreole American artist to perform at Germany’s Akkordeonale Festival, collaborating with local artists and continuing to tour the country. Featured in Michael Tisserand’s “The Kingdom of Zydeco,” Thierry is described as “a standard-bearer for the new generation.”

The 2025 new single, "KING ZYDECO," is a vibrant mix of Andre Thierry's cultural heritage and contemporary influences. It merges with his energetic, one-of-a-kind accordion sounds to create a new modern classic. This composition challenges limits and transcends genres, a striking testament to his artistic mastery.

Stay tuned for more new music from this extraordinary Kreole accordion virtuoso, producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, set to be released in 2025.
